Adv. Himansshu Samant is the Founder of Oorvi Legal. Prior to entering the legal profession, he had a successful career in the banking and financial services sector, culminating in his role as an Associate Vice President with a leading private sector Bank. Choosing to pursue his passion for the law, he transitioned into legal practice, bringing with him extensive experience in banking operations, regulatory compliance, and commercial decision-making. This diverse professional background enables him to approach legal issues with both legal insight and a practical understanding of the regulatory and commercial realities faced by individuals and businesses.
He holds undergraduate degrees in both Commerce and Law, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Finance. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D. in Law, reflecting his continued commitment to legal scholarship and professional development.
His areas of practice encompass Commercial Disputes, Property and Real Estate, Succession and Inheritance, Matrimonial and Family Disputes, Consumer Matters, Contract Drafting and Advisory, Commercial Arbitration, and Writ Proceedings. He advises and represents individuals, businesses, and institutions before Courts, Tribunals, and other Judicial and Quasi-Judicial forums across Maharashtra.
In addition to his legal practice, Adv. Samant, who is SET (Law) qualified, serves as a Visiting Faculty at reputed law institutions in Mumbai, viewing legal education as an opportunity to give back to the profession and to help nurture the next generation of legal professionals.
Adv. Vishal Vadakeri brings over three decades of diverse professional experience spanning corporate leadership, human resources, and legal practice. Prior to entering the legal profession, he held senior leadership positions as Human Resources Director with leading multinational organisations in the pharmaceutical and FMCG sectors, where he was actively involved in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, industrial relations, employment matters, and strategic business operations. His extensive corporate experience enables him to approach legal issues with a practical understanding of business, regulatory, and commercial realities.
His areas of practice include Employment and Labour Laws, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Advisory, Management Consulting, Contract Drafting and Review, Corporate Documentation, Regulatory and Statutory Compliances, and Commercial Advisory. He advises individuals, businesses, and institutions on a wide range of employment and commercial legal matters, with particular emphasis on compliance-driven and business-oriented legal solutions.
Adv. Vadakeri advises and assists businesses in the legal and regulatory aspects of establishing, expanding, and operating businesses in India. Drawing upon his extensive hands-on experience in setting up Indian operations for multinational organisations, he advises on regulatory and statutory compliances, employment and labour law frameworks, contractual documentation, workplace policies, and corporate governance.
Adv. Vadakeri is a Science graduate, holds a Bachelor's degree in Law, and a Master's degree in Human Resources Development Management, and has completed Executive Management Programmes from the Indian Institutes of Management at Lucknow and Kolkata..
Adv. Ojwansingh Varma is a criminal law practitioner with extensive experience in criminal litigation and representation before courts in Mumbai. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Mumbai.
Passionate about criminal law, he takes a careful and analytical approach to understanding the facts of each matter, examining the documents and evidence in detail, and developing astute legal arguments grounded in the circumstances of the case. Over the years, he has advised and successfully represented a diverse range of clients, including businesspersons, professionals, public figures, and individuals from varied backgrounds, across a range of criminal matters.
His practice includes bail and pre-trial matters, along with representation at various stages of criminal proceedings, including trials, in matters arising under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and other criminal laws, including financial and economic offences, matters under the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors Act, Narcotics and NDPS matters, Sexual Offences, Cyber Frauds, and Cheque Dishonour matters.
With long-standing experience before various courts across Mumbai, including the Courts of Sessions at Bombay, Mazgaon and Dindoshi, and the criminal appellate side of the Bombay High Court, he brings a practical understanding of criminal procedure and evidence to his practice, with a focus on clear legal advice, diligent preparation, and effective representation.
Mr. S. Tiwari heads the Administration and Operations function at Oorvi Legal. Having worked alongside the Founder, Adv. Himansshu Samant, for nearly two decades, he has been an integral part of the Firm's journey and growth, contributing significantly to the efficient management of its day-to-day operations.
As the Head of Administration and Operations, Mr. Tiwari is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Firm's operations, ensuring the smooth execution of its administrative and procedural requirements. His responsibilities include overseeing court filings, supervising procedural and statutory compliances, liaising with courts and other judicial forums, government authorities, and other institutions, managing documentation, maintaining records, and ensuring that the Firm's operational processes function efficiently.
A Registered Clerk with the Bombay High Court, Mr. Tiwari possesses extensive practical knowledge of court procedures, filing requirements, and registry practices. His familiarity with these processes, coupled with his ability to work effectively with advocates, court staff, clients, and statutory authorities, enables the Firm to maintain efficiency at every stage of a matter.
